The Mental Health Nursing department is committed to provide world class education to the budding Mental health student nurses. It mainly focuses on enlightening the theoretical knowledge of human behavior in scientific context and appreciate the application of knowledge in clinical practice.

The student nurses are nurtured by experienced and dedicated teachers in rendering quality education. Multidisciplinary teaching and learning methods paved a way for the student to acquire in-depth knowledge in care of clients with mental health issues. Interdisciplinary case discussion, professional learning, problem based learning were inculcated in both theoretical and practical areas. It helps the students to be expertise in crisis intervention, mental health assessment, psychopharmacology and psychological therapies.

The department has a well-equipped air conditioned guidance and counseling center to facilitate positive development of every student in respect to their individuality and provide opportunities for professional development.
